The ability to multi-task in a fast paced proto-type manufacturing environment is required. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures. What does a Project Manager do at SpecSys? Maintain a clean and organized work environment Responsibility for all project documentation Research questions related to the fabrication, welding, painting and assembly of customer projects and communicate the answers to the shop floor personnel Coordinate delivery of outsourced components with the purchasing department to ensure vendor supplied parts are delivered in a timely manner Act as a primary focal point for customer contact during the manufacturing phase of a project Monitor manufacturing progress against predetermined timeline milestones and advise management personnel of timelines changes and ECO's that take place during the course of a project Create shop floor work orders and properly structure Bills of Material (BOM) to reflect raw material assignments for in-house work or outsourcing sequences followed by in-house machining / welding / assembly / paint Ensure DXF files are created for laser and burn tables Will spend 30% to 50% of time on the shop floor What are we looking for in a quality candidate? Has knowledge of raw material and manufacturing processes Works with a high sense of urgency Knowledge of Microsoft products Blueprint reading Communications skills adaptable enough to interact with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Quality, and Clients Understanding of Bill of Materials and MRP usage Comfortable with rapid change Many tasks include their own work and / or the review of work of others in the department.
