Job Summary and Qualifications As a Physician Peer Review Coordinator you will clearly and professionally communicate with all other disciplines, individually or in groups, a development and activation plan for performance improvements that coordinate with the facilities Plan of Care, Strategic Goals, and Performance Improvement Plan. What you will do in this role: Assist the quality initiative by developing, coordinating, and supporting the quality initiatives/activities of data collection and analysis, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement education. Serve as a resource person and establish good rapport with all departments and medical staff. Encourage physician and hospital staff to work together solving problems when more than one discipline is involved. Work with Infection Control Nurse and Risk Manager to coordinate activities. Work with Medical Staff Coordinator to keep abreast of department activities. Assist with regulatory preparedness. Assist with hospital‑wide Quality Committees, e.g. Quality Management Committee, Facilitate peer review. Qualifications Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi‑state Registered Nurse license. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Previous quality improvement, core/performance measurement, familiarity with CMS/JCAHO regulatory and accreditation requirements strongly preferred.
