Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This flexible role involves working with a diverse student caseload, providing direct therapy, conducting evaluations, and participating in IEP meetings to help students reach their full communicative potential. Located conveniently near Dorchester, MA, this position is ideal for professionals seeking a consistent, part-time schedule in a dynamic educational environment.
Desired Background & Qualifications:
- Current, active Massachusetts SLP license required
- Open to SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPs with proven pediatric and school-based experience
- Strong knowledge of high school educational needs and challenges
- Background working with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering direct speech and language services to high school students
- Managing a focused caseload and tailoring interventions to student needs
- Conducting comprehensive evaluations in compliance with school guidelines
- Attending and contributing to IEP meetings as part of the student support process
- Maintaining accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and communications with staff and families
Work Schedule & Assignment Details:
- Contract position, starting as soon as possible through June 16, 2027
- Two days per week (Wednesday and Thursday)
- 10-15 hours weekly commitment
- Focused high school caseload with a variety of communication needs
- Compensation ranges from $50 to $55 per hour, based on experience and credentials
