Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting elementary students’ communication needs during a maternity leave assignment for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves collaborating with school staff and an SLPA to provide speech and language therapy in a dynamic educational environment. You’ll be essential in helping students develop critical language and speech skills, making a direct impact during a pivotal point in their academic growth.

Key Experience and Credentials:

• Hold a valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels)
• Current or eligible Massachusetts Board of Allied Health license
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Previous experience working as a school-based SLP (elementary preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support personnel
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Please note: Clinical Fellowship (CF) applicants will not be considered for this assignment.

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to an elementary caseload
• Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to students’ needs
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports for all students served
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education colleagues, family members, and an SLPA who supports some of the caseload
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning sessions
• Monitor and document student progress while maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines

This position offers steady hours (34 hours/week, Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 2:33 pm) and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ growth during a focused assignment from November 2026 through March 2027.
