Vice President Of Supply Chain

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. This executive leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence, improve efficiency, enhance customer satisfaction, and support long-term business growth. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in procurement, planning, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Drive long-term planning to support growth, profitability, and customer service objectives.

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Oversee strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Develop supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement programs.

Inventory & Demand Planning

• Establish inventory management strategies that balance service levels and working capital objectives.
• Oversee forecasting, demand planning, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and implement controls to minimize shortages and excess inventory.

Logistics & Distribution

• Direct transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Optimize logistics networks to improve delivery performance and reduce costs.
• Ensure efficient movement of goods throughout the supply chain.

Operations & Process Improvement

• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain organization.
• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Leverage technology and analytics to improve visibility and decision-making.

Financial & Performance Management

• Develop and manage supply chain budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Ensure supply chain operations contribute to overall profitability and business objectives.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing supply chain teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
• Develop succession plans and leadership development initiatives.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
• Develop contingency plans to support business continuity.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive supply chain leadership experience.
• Proven experience leading procurement, logistics, inventory management, planning, and distribution functions.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, supply chain technologies, and data analytics.
• Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and organizational transformation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing large operational budgets.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex business environment.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• APICS Certifications
