Grant Administrator

North Carolina A&T State University

Grant Administrator – College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences The Grant Administrator is a professional position within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (CAHSS). The position reports directly to the Dean and is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of grants—from identifying funding opportunities and writing proposals to overseeing budgets, ensuring compliance, reporting, and aligning project goals with funder requirements. Primary responsibilities include: Planning, writing, and submitting grant proposals to federal, state, and private funders. Developing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring financial integrity and compliance with all grantor policies. Coordinating and interpreting grant agreements, mandating progression reports, and maintaining mandatory documentation. Providing oversight and support for grant-funded initiatives across all departments of CAHSS. Implementing internal controls to meet regulatory compliance standards, including mandatory 2 CFR 200 requirements. Reviewing and maintaining grant administration systems and processes for continuous improvement. Mandatory qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of grant administration experience. Must possess strong management, communication, research, writing, budgeting, and leadership skills. Knowledge of 2 CFR 200 and federal, state, and university grant programs. Experience with electronic research administration systems and accounting/financial software. Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, auditing, budgeting, data collection, and analysis. Preferred qualifications: Advanced project management experience. Proficiency in advanced data analysis and technology tools. Understanding of accounting principles and audit processes. This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies.
