Accounts Receivable Specialist

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our clients in the Triad area. This is a newly created role that will support the accounting team with accounts receivable functions, invoicing support, payment processing, account reconciliation, and customer account follow-up.

The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Receivable experience, excellent attention to detail, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

• Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
• Pay: $31.25 per hour / $65,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding balances
• Contact customers regarding payment status
• Investigate and resolve billing issues
• Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies
• Process incoming payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
• Prepare and analyze monthly aging reports
• Support invoicing and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with month-end closing responsibilities
• Support annual audit requests as needed
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Required Experience and Skills

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and related functions
• SAP experience highly desired
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to resolve problems and think analytically
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Education Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Degree in Accounting preferred
