Position Summary Moorings Park is seeking a dedicated and talented Home Health Office Manager to join our team. The Office Manager is responsible for processing payroll, billing, and providing coordination of benefits and provides management of the home health offices, including supervision of support staff and the lead scheduler. The Office Manager provides supportive services assisting in running day-to-day office operations efficiently and smoothly and according to established standards and policies in keeping with all local, state, and federal regulations

Key Contributions

• Inputs payroll data for private duty and certified agencies and processes on an ongoing basis.
• Interacts with Finance department to ensure billing is processed using established policies and procedures.
• Oversees verification of insurance benefits and eligibility insurance re-authorizations, and input of information into EMR, supervising and assisting the Intake/Benefits Coordinator.
• Responsible for Payer Source verifications. Runs weekly reports: authorization certification, authorizations certification periods, and certification period visits and authorizations. Notifies Clinical Manager, Director of Clinical Services, and Administrator of any unauthorized visits.
• Maintains appropriate stock of office and medical supplies and assures offices are maintained in a safe and neat manner. Initiates purchase orders and maintains accounts within budget.
• Supervises and supports the clerical staff including schedulers and intake/benefits coordinator.
• Educates and provides training on policies and procedures for direct reports and other staff.
• Evaluates employee performance evaluations by appraising work performance and completes a 90-day and annual evaluation on all clerical staff.
• Assures friendly and cooperative reception to all who contact the agency by phone or in person and assures directions to the appropriate staff.
• Provides clerical support for Director of Clinical Services/Administrator as needed.
• Maintains client confidentiality and works in compliance with HIPAA regulations and standards.
• Processes monthly submission of documentation to long-term car insurance companies on behalf of clients

Qualifications & Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required.

• During emergencies or natural disasters, may be required to remain on duty for the duration of the event.
• Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Previous experience in health care is required. Previous supervisory and scheduling experience is required.
