Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting each case from initial consultations to discharge.

• Perform thorough evaluations that guide the development of individualized treatment plans, considering each client’s unique needs and circumstances.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based approaches and therapeutic techniques.

• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on observations and feedback.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create a holistic approach to client care.

• Assist clients and families in identifying and preventing behaviors that impede their recovery, ensuring a supportive environment for healing.

• Manage referrals effectively and follow up with healthcare providers regarding any additional support or interventions needed for clients.

• Document all therapy sessions and client interactions meticulously using electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups who are facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. This role requires a strong commitment to understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, adapting intervention strategies accordingly to enhance their journey towards mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.

• Demonstrated successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of building rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate client needs and adjust treatment plans effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, with familiarity in handling various mental health disorders and substance use issues.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, enhancing workflow efficiency.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and aligning therapy methods accordingly.

• In-depth understanding of the psychological effects of prescribed medications and their impact on client treatment plans.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards clients’ challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience. Candidates may also be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
