Embark on a rewarding contract assignment as a Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students near Bedford, NH from August 2026 to June 2027. This full-time opportunity spans Monday through Friday, offering 32-37.5 hours per week. As the dedicated special education professional for this school year, you will serve a diverse caseload of approximately 15 students between 2nd and 5th grade, working across two friendly school environments—one grade 2, one grade 5. Your expertise will have a meaningful impact on the academic and social growth of your students.

Qualifications & Desired Background:

• Valid certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with elementary-aged children
• Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with general educators, support staff, and families
• Ability to manage multiple student caseloads and adapt to various learning needs
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom climate

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct specialized instruction for assigned students
• Develop, update, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with regular education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress
• Deliver targeted interventions and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Conduct case management duties, including documentation and progress reporting
• Travel between two nearby school locations as part of the workweek
