As our Skilled Trades Recruiter, you'll be the engine that keeps our candidate pipeline moving-sourcing talent, making daily connections, and helping local job seekers get back to work.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Sourcing & Recruiting: Find and recruit candidates for skilled trades, manufacturing, and light industrial roles across West St. Louis County and surrounding areas.
- Outbound Candidate Engagement: Make daily calls to build, nurture, and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates.
- Screening & Interviewing: Review applications, conduct phone screens, interview applicants, and evaluate candidate skill sets.
- Job Matching: Partner closely with our sales team to fill client job orders quickly with the right talent.
- Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Management: Keep candidate profiles, notes, and availability accurately updated in our recruitment database.
- Relationship Building: Re-engage past applicants and temporary workers, keeping Express top-of-mind for local employment.
- Hourly Pay: $18.00 / hour
- Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday to Friday (No nights, no weekends)
- Benefits Package: Health Insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and 401(k) retirement plan
- Paid Training: Comprehensive hands-on training provided. No prior recruiting experience required

- Strong Communicator: Comfortable on the phone, engaging, and able to talk with people from all backgrounds.
- Organized & Detail-Oriented: Able to manage multiple open roles and keep candidate records updated.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive attitude with the drive to make daily outbound calls without needing constant supervision.
- Helpful Experience: Background in customer service, call centers, administrative roles, sales, or staffing is a plus (but not required).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with skilled trades (welding, machining, electrical, maintenance tech) or light industrial work is helpful.
- Dependable: Reliable, consistent, and ready to show up and do great work every day.
