The AIOC will be staffed with skilled teams and decision makers that set the Daily Operations Plan, mitigate pain points and share information to promote healthy airport operations. The AIOC will be more than a room with innovative technology and skilled operators; it is a mindset that drives our day-to-day operation to create a seamless and responsive travel experience for everyone. The AIOC will create an extraordinary guest experience through centralized operational control - enabling informed, data-driven decisions and managing all reported issues with care, while working in collaboration to provide a safe, secure, and seamless guest experience.\nThe Current Operations Team Leader will be part of a collaborative team responsible for monitoring and managing airport operations as part of the AIOC. Under the direction of the AIOC Shift Leader, the Current Operations Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all current operations-related activities in the AIOC on landside, in the terminal complex and on the airfield. This position is responsible for maintaining awareness, sharing information, and directing tactical responses to current operational issues and impacts in coordination with the Current Operations Section and other AIOC personnel. This position will lead many of the teams directly impacting the attainment of the AIOC Key Performance Indicator standards.\nThe Current Operations Team Leader is an integrated section leader of the AIOC and is expected to work collaboratively with all AIOC personnel in addition to leading the Current Operations section which includes Landside, Terminal and Airside Operations team members, Asset Management personnel, Customer Care staff, and liaisons for federal partners such as the TSA. The Current Operations Team Leader is also responsible for coordinating with the Security Operations Center and 911 Dispatch to stay informed, problem solve, and manage operational issues across the airport. This position monitors and drives operations, solves problems, generates innovative ideas, and shares information across SFO teams both internal to the AIOC and with external stakeholders. The Current Operations Team Leader may be called upon to assist in leading other functions within the AIOC, so this position is expected to maintain full situational awareness of AIOC operations to include other function’s shift goals and operational challenges.\nThe essential functions of this classification include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n Lead the Current Operations Section including participating in performance management processes and identifying proper staffing and training needs for all personnel in the section, and escalating issues to the AIOC Director for resolution.\n Provide succinct and clear updates and information in AIOC shift briefings and SFO leadership briefings on the status of current operations.\n Collaborate with AIOC personnel to identify current operational issues, generate actionable solutions, see the solution through to completion, and document improvement opportunities.\n Provide real-time reports as needed when an unexpected event occurs and significant changes affecting KPIs, operations, or function performance are detected during the day.\n Oversee the airport operation in real time, elevating areas of concern proactively within the Current Operations Section and in concert with other AIOC sections; actively drive responses to events that may or are affecting airport operations.\n Determine best courses of action and launch field response operations to remedy operational issues.\n Lead and direct field resources to plan ahead and remain prepared for anticipated trouble spots to support future operational periods and shifts.\n Engage appropriate personnel when a continuity event or disruption occurs that requires focused attention to resolve.\n Manage information flow in the AIOC to promote constant, comprehensive information sharing between team members.\n Develop, monitor, drive, and report on multiple KPI standards.\n Liaise with tenants, airline partners, and government agencies to resolve issues and notify of disruptions.\n Provide guidance, facilitation, and oversight for Current Operations Section team members to resolve issues.\n Perform other functions outlined in the 0923 – Manager II job classification.\nQualifications\n\nQualifications\n1.Education: Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university; \nAND\n2. Experience: Five (5) years of professional-level airport/aviation work experience in facilities or operations at a medium to large airport.\nEducation Substitution: Additional qualifying full-time work experience (2000 hours equal one year) as described above may substitute up to two (2) years of the required education. One (1) year of work experience equals to 30 semester units or 45 quarter units.\nOne-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week).
