Tilcon Connecticut is seeking an experienced 1st shift Utility Person for its North Branford Quarry. The Utility Person will support the quarry team, reporting directly to the quarry superintendent.

What Youll Do

• Safely and efficiently operate maintenance equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks on quarry equipment, including accessing platforms via ladders.
• Shovel sand, stone, and wet materials daily.
• Strictly adhere to all company policies, OSHA, and MSHA safety regulations.
• Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with accurate documentation.
• Work in a team environment, assisting co-workers and supervisors as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operational areas.

What Were Looking For

• Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Preferred trade/mechanical education or maintenance/mechanical experience.
• Good mechanical ability.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable working at considerable heights and outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime when required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and "Fit for Work" physical.
