RECEPTIONIST - Evening

Responsibilities Austin Oaks Hospital offers a continuum of psychiatric services for adolescents and adults. Located in South Austin, Texas on a beautiful thirteen-acre oak-lined campus, we strive to provide a home-like environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self-awareness, social skills, and personal growth. We provide inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety and other behavioral health disorders. Essential Job Duties Answer a multi-line phone system and take accurate messages, relaying them verbally or in writing to the appropriate personnel. Professionally communicate to anyone who calls or approaches the Reception area with questions or requests. Greet visitors; issue visitor passes and initiate appropriate contacts, speaking clearly. Monitor emergency systems, and facilitate response to emergency codes as required. Assist with distribution of mail/packages coming in after hours and weekends. Data entry projects, daily census update, and copy projects. Maintain a professional demeanor in dress, attitude, and support of unit milieu, facility mission, and philosophy. Position Summary Receptionist (Evenings). Key responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing verbal and written communication for employees, patients, families, agencies, and all other persons doing business with the hospital. Also assist with data entry projects, copy projects, and daily census updates. Qualifications Education: Required: High School diploma or equivalency. Preferred: Some college. Experience: Preferred: Previous experience on a multi-line phone system and general office experience.
