Overview Job Title: Account Executive Department: Sales Reporting To: General Sales Manager Employment Type: Full Time Location(s): Norfolk / VA Beach, Virginia Work Arrangement: On-Site/Hybrid Overview: Audacy Norfolk seeks an experienced self‑motivated sales professional to develop and sell advertising and marketing campaigns to new and existing clients. With an emphasis on new business development and digital sales, the Account Executive will use a wide variety of Audacy’s products in their portfolio to solicit businesses for advertising in their on‑air, non‑traditional, and digital platforms. The ideal candidate must possess a hunter mentality with cold calling/prospecting experience, a proven ability to negotiate and close with a high level of success, and must easily build relationships as if it’s an art form. Consistently driving game‑changing results, this individual knows how to identify, develop, and present customized solutions to clients using non‑traditional and digital concepts. With excellent written and oral communication skills, this individual easily commands the room during presentations. Able to multi‑task with a high degree of time management and organizational skills, this individual is capable of looking ahead and managing client needs with precision planning and anticipation. Responsibilities What You’ll Do: Contacting/emailing/cold calling businesses to create marketing solutions that may include radio, digital assets, events, social media assets and more. Effectively prospect new clients, working with internal support to create and pitch strategic ideas, communicating our value to clients and driving new business development. Grow existing accounts and manage all business aspects of the relationship. Achieving sales goals, attending meetings and training sessions. Continuously learn new products as our industry evolves and proactively create new opportunities to communicate our value proposition to clients, including but not limited to: podcasting, streaming audio, streaming video, and digital performance media (search, email, social). Consistently use and maintain our CRM tool and other platforms to perform daily business. Clearly communicate and manage expectations internally and externally while multitasking and handling multiple accounts at a time. Build deep business relationships through continually delivering great service and results to clients. Leverage first‑class attribution capabilities to provide smarter optimizations and improved ROI. Other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications The ideal candidate must: Possess a hunter mentality with cold calling/prospecting experience. Have a proven ability to negotiate and close with a high level of success, and must easily build relationships. Consistently drive game‑changing results, identifying, developing, and presenting customized solutions to clients using non‑traditional and digital concepts. Have excellent written and oral communication skills, commanding the room during presentations. Be able to multi‑task with a high degree of time management and organizational skills. Show a driving desire for success, refusing to lose or compromise their level of achievement. Exhibit a winning attitude in line with the Audacy team’s values. Have working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Hold a valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if using their own vehicle, proof of insurance. Preferred qualifications: Sales experience. Fearless approach to generating new business meetings. Successful track record of new business development. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding defined sales goals. Strategic omni‑channel selling preference. Conceptual understanding of client needs analysis and its benefits.
