We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring timely acquisition of materials, products, and services that support our operational needs. Your expertise in ERP systems and materials management will drive efficiency, cost savings, and supply chain continuity. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where strategic sourcing, negotiation skills, and supply chain knowledge are essential for success.


Duties:

• Research and compare suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
• Create and send Purchase Orders to vendors
• Track all orders placed with vendors and update internal team members with status
• Contact vendors (by phone or email) whenever necessary to expedite
• Physical management of inventory including counting and packaging parts for shipment.

Required Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear interactions across all departments , and for management of external vendor contacts
• Experience with sharing a workload while working as part of a team
• Background in a technical purchasing position is not required but preferred
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing roles within a supply chain management environment.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, SAP ERP, JD Edwards, Oracle EBS, or AS400 for materials management and procurement activities.
• Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and production planning processes.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to analyze data using Excel for pricing strategies and sourcing decisions.
• Familiarity with contracts management, inventory control practices, and supply chain optimization techniques.
• Experience working with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and understanding of procurement's role within the broader supply chain framework.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
