Section 337 Litigation Associate

Husch Blackwell LLP is a national law firm with multiple locations across the United States, dedicated to our clients and the industries they serve. We have an immediate opening for a Section 337 Litigation Associate with (preferably) three to six years of experience practicing before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). The candidate should have participated in at least two Section 337 ITC cases and be keenly familiar with ITC-specific issues such as domestic industry, remedies, enforcement, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. The candidate should be knowledgeable of IP law, though a technical background is not required, and will work primarily with attorneys in our Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit. Key Responsibilities Participate in at least two Section 337 ITC cases, developing legal strategies and courses of action related to domestic industry, remedies, enforcement, and the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit. Analyze IP law issues and advise on ITC-specific matters. Effectively manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, articulating legal strategies to clients and senior counsel. Qualifications Three to six years of experience before the U.S. ITC, preferably with participation in at least two Section 337 cases. Active bar license in the state corresponding to the office applied for, or willingness to obtain one promptly. Strong academic credentials and demonstrated ability to work well under pressure. Exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and a record of proactive, dynamic, and entrepreneurial work. Knowledge of IP law is preferred; a technical background is not required. Benefits and Compensation Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more. In listed states, compensation ranges from $215,000 to $250,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
