2026 YB Development & Communications Strategist- Compton

YouthBuild Collaborative Southern California strengthens and supports YouthBuild programs across the region by fostering collaboration, building organizational capacity, and expanding access to resources. Through strategic partnerships, technical assistance, workforce development initiatives, and shared best practices, the Collaborative helps local programs increase opportunities for opportunity youth to achieve educational success, career readiness, and long-term economic mobility. Serve with YouthBuild Collaborative Southern California to strengthen systems that expand opportunities for youth. The AmeriCorps VISTA member will develop sustainable fundraising, communications, and community partnership tools that increase organizational capacity, strengthen collaboration, secure future resources, and support YouthBuild programs in creating pathways to economic mobility and breaking the cycle of poverty. Member Duties : Develop sustainable fundraising, communications, and partnership systems that strengthen the long-term capacity of YouthBuild Collaborative Southern California. Research grant opportunities, philanthropic organizations, and funding trends; develop fundraising plans, resource development tools, and tracking systems; analyze organizational data to support grant readiness and continuous improvement; create communication strategies, messaging frameworks, newsletters, and outreach materials; establish systems to evaluate communication efforts; research and cultivate community partnerships; develop stakeholder engagement tools, partnership databases, and outreach resources; and document standardized processes, guides, and recommendations that enable staff to sustain and expand these systems beyond the VISTA member's service term.
