Chief Financial Officer / Head of Finance & Operations

Role Overview We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer / Head of Finance & Operations to own the firm's finance and operations end to end. You will oversee all of our financials and the operational side of the business, lead and develop the finance and operations team, and run independently as the senior financial leader working directly with the partners. Your background should include 10+ years of finance experience with senior leadership at a VC, growth, crossover, or private equity firm, or at a fund administrator or capital-markets platform serving them. Key Responsibilities Finance Leadership Own all of the firm's financials across our funds, co-investment vehicles, and the management company Lead, manage, and develop the finance and operations team, including the controller and operations staff Serve as the senior financial partner to the founders and run the function independently Build the finance function, controls, and infrastructure as the firm scales Fund Finance & Operations Oversee fund accounting – capital calls, distributions, NAV, capital accounts, management fees, and carried interest Oversee limited partner onboarding – subscription documents, KYC/AML, and accreditation – across a high volume of vehicles Own the annual audit and tax cycle with outside auditors and tax advisors Manage treasury, cash, and the movement of capital across vehicles Strategic Finance & Firm Operations Partner with the founders on fund economics, budgeting, and financial strategy Own the operational side of the business and the systems behind it Bring more of the finance and operations function in-house as the firm grows, and set the standard for how it runs Represent the firm's financials to investors, auditors, and stakeholders Ideal Candidate Profile 10+ years of finance experience, with senior leadership at a VC, growth, crossover, or private equity firm (or a fund administrator or capital-markets platform serving the same) Has run a finance function independently and managed and developed a team Strong fund finance – fund accounting, NAV, capital calls, distributions, and GAAP financials (ASC 946) – alongside the operational side of a firm Comfortable operating at deal speed in a fast-moving, transaction-driven environment Sound judgment and the ability to run autonomously without day-to-day oversight CPA strongly preferred Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses Energetic and positive culture with a strong emphasis on team based success #J-18808-Ljbffr Goanna Capital Management
