Key Responsibilities\n As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, you will be tasked with a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to: \n \n Managing a caseload of clients while developing solid rapport and maintaining professional boundaries. \n Conducting thorough intake assessments and creating personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals. \n Facilitating regular progress meetings with clients, assessing their mental health status, discussing treatment efficacy, and making necessary adjustments to care plans. \n Documenting all interactions and treatment progress accurately in electronic health records, ensuring adherence to legal, ethical, and organizational standards. \n Engaging in individual supervision and team meetings to review case progress and share insights. \n Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. \n Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Our counseling center serves a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing various mental health issues. As a counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be instrumental in guiding clients through their healing process and contributing to their overall well-being. Qualifications\n \n A Master’s Degree in mental health, psychology, or a related field. \n Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. \n Ability to meet internal credentialing requirements related to clinical practice. \n Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience working directly with psychiatric patients and/or populations with substance use challenges. \n Proficiency in conducting assessments, diagnoses, and both individual and group therapy sessions. \n Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems. \n Preferred Experience\n Experience working in a community health clinic or similar setting is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices will also be advantageous. Candidates who exhibit a strong understanding of client-focused approaches and have specialized training in evidence-based therapies will be prioritized.
