Regional Recruitment Manager for Virginia

Regional Recruitment Manager – Virginia Job Summary Towson University (TU) employs this position as an official representative of TU’s Office of Admissions to recruit prospective undergraduate students and families within an assigned territory in Virginia. The Regional Recruitment Manager will conduct recruitment visits, college fairs, and outreach events, evaluate applications, provide student and community engagement, and support the university’s enrollment and yield goals. Responsibilities and Duties Conduct high school and college visits, college fairs, and other recruitment events. Develop relationships with school counselors, community college staff, local alumni, and community‑based organizations to enhance TU’s network and brand. Plan and execute yield events and information sessions both virtually and in‑person. Evaluate undergraduate applications for admission and scholarship awards through a holistic review process. Participate in special‑population, decision, and scholarship appeals reviews, ensuring timely and goal‑aligned decisions. Provide counseling and excellent customer service to prospective, admitted, and enrolled students via phone, email, chat, and text. Conduct outreach and personalized marketing campaigns to engage students from the territory. Utilize admissions policies and requirements to support the Admissions Recruitment Team. Attend campus visits at least twice a year for large events and team retreats. Use data and enrollment trends to develop recruitment and outreach strategies, complete territory reports, and identify strengths and weaknesses. Oversee creation of dashboards tracking application, admit, deposit, and enrollment numbers. Benchmark TU’s performance against peer institutions using national and state datasets. Utilize Slate CRM to build queries, dashboards, emails, and reports. Support regional alumni and advancement engagement efforts. Complete general admissions duties, special projects, campus committees, and other tasks as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Required Qualifications Three years of experience in college admissions, advising, orientation, or related student affairs enrollment management areas. Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and successful completion of TU driver clearance process. Strong familiarity with technology and systems used in admissions. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to present to diverse audiences in various venues. Demonstrated team player with strong work ethic. Interest and sensitivity in cross‑cultural communication. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a regional admissions counselor. Familiarity with student information or CRM systems, specifically Slate and PeopleSoft. Salary and Benefits Targeted hiring range: $70,000–$75,000. Full university benefits include 22 days of annual leave, up to 17 holidays, personal and sick days; health, life, and retirement plans; and tuition remission.
