Job Summary Registered Nurse - Med Surg, Rome, New York, United States. Start date: 08/03/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,096–$2,283 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36. Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Travel assignment in a hospital setting. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,096–$2,283 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) Start date: 08/03/2026 Travel assignment in a hospital setting Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to adults on Med Surg and Telemetry units within RN scope of practice, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care Monitor patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and manage cardiac medications as ordered; interpret telemetry and ECG strips; respond to changes in patient condition Float to step-down unit as needed; collaborate with physicians, LPNs/LVNs, and other teammates to ensure safe, coordinated care Perform wound care, manage lines and drains, maintain sterile technique, and follow infection prevention protocols Document accurately and timely; educate patients and families on treatments, discharge planning, and self-care as appropriate Requirements Active New York RN license in good standing BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Certification required before start Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience; travel experience preferred Strong IV skills; comfortable handling cardiac drips and reading ECG strips; ability to perform wound care Willingness to float to step-down; ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) Additional 8 hours of CEUs required as part of facility orientation Flu vaccine or declination accepted Benefits and Support Guaranteed hours: 36 per week 13-week travel assignment Night shift schedule Orientation requirements include 8 hours of CEUs Ongoing assignment support from the Healthcare staffing team About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
