Staff Accountant

Our client, a growing and dynamic organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their finance team. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an accounting professional with a solid foundation in operational accounting who is eager to grow and contribute to a collaborative environment. This role will support day-to-day accounting functions and work closely with branch teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Position: Staff Accountant
• Location: Austin, TX - Onsite (78665)
• Employment Type: Direct Hire / Temp-to-hire
• Pay: $65,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries (JEs) to support accurate financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes.
• Assist with sales tax reporting and compliance.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate regularly with branch locations to gather information and support accounting needs.
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Support process improvements and maintain accurate financial records.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to operational accounting functions.
• Understanding of core accounting processes including JEs, A/P, A/R, and reconciliations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
