Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions to formulate individualized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to improve patient mobility and alleviate pain.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, responses to treatment, and outcomes, adjusting therapy protocols as necessary to optimize effectiveness.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on rehabilitation exercises and the use of assistive devices to promote self-care and independence.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers in the management of patient care, attending interdisciplinary meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment plans.
• Maintain currency in the field by participating in workshops, seminars, and continued education programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and chronic health conditions. Our clientele includes both pediatric and adult populations, providing you with opportunities to tailor your therapeutic approaches based on age-specific challenges and recovery pathways.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer software applications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, preferably in a hospital environment.
• Prior experience working with patients in acute care or rehabilitation settings is highly desirable.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits
