Pathways Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and professional Physical Therapist to join our team at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Arlington, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations, including assessment of medical history, physical capabilities, and relevant performance metrics, to establish effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Engage with patients and families throughout the treatment process, clearly communicating evaluation findings and collaboratively setting rehabilitation goals that consider the patient's input and lifestyle.
• Implement and adapt treatment protocols derived from initial evaluations, competence in utilizing both traditional and innovative therapeutic practices to optimize recovery paths based on patient responsiveness.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care; document any significant changes in a patient's condition promptly and determine the need for adjustments in the treatment plan.
• Facilitate systematic discharge planning, ensuring continuity of care post-treatment through appropriate follow-up. Maintain meticulous documentation of patient encounters, including evaluative benchmarks, daily progress notes, and final discharge summaries.
• Maintain effective time management skills to meet departmental productivity standards; manage appointment schedules accurately to minimize patient wait times while optimizing service delivery.
• Actively participate in departmental initiatives aimed at achieving organizational goals, contributing to compliance with healthcare regulations, and promoting a patient-focused environment.
• Pursue ongoing education and skill enhancement opportunities to remain abreast of the latest practices in physical therapy and improve overall competency.
• Contribute to hospital marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing community engagement and accessibility to physical therapy services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work with a broad patient demographic, including individuals recovering from surgeries, those with chronic pain syndromes, and patients in rehabilitation after injuries or accidents. We are committed to addressing the diverse needs of our community, ensuring all patients receive personalized attention and culturally competent care as they work towards their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid licensure required to practice in Virginia, with any additional state-specific requirements fulfilled.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
• Commitment to continuing education and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience
