Work Environment

As an onsite Physical Therapist, you will work within a supportive team atmosphere at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center. Our facility includes the latest equipment and resources needed to provide comprehensive care tailored to each patient's individual needs. The regular work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals, needs, and diagnoses.
• Provide hands-on therapy utilizing advanced techniques in orthopedic care, ensuring that each patient receives the attention and care necessary for recovery.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, allowing for in-depth and focused sessions that cater to each patient's unique recovery journey.
• Implement evidence-based treatment modalities to improve patient outcomes and enhance motion and mobility.
• Educate patients about their conditions and involve them in the treatment process to boost motivation and adherence to therapy.
• Incorporate fitness and wellness programs tailored to individual capabilities, focusing on promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and treatment provided, leveraging EMR software, particularly WebPT, for record-keeping.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve an outpatient population seeking recovery from orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation. These patients come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Your role is pivotal in guiding them through their recovery process while working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will contribute significantly to improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Proven expertise in various physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy modalities.
• Strong ability to develop and implement effective exercise programs tailored to patients' specific needs.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to ensure precise documentation and facilitate patient care.
• Up-to-date knowledge of current physical therapy research and methodologies, ensuring that you provide treatment backed by the latest clinical evidence.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a successful track record in providing individualized therapy.
• Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to collaborative care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
