Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations that include reviewing patient history, performing specific assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans based on evaluation findings.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring active involvement in setting realistic and achievable goals.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques and modalities to implement care protocols effectively, adjusting approaches as necessary based on individual patient needs and responses.
• Collaborate with other healthcare practitioners to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, documenting changes in patient conditions that warrant adjustments in the treatment strategy.
• Manage discharge planning effectively, ensuring follow-up care is comprehensive and facilitating a smooth transition for patients as they progress in their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities, including timely encounter notes and progress summaries that capture the patient's journey.
• Adhere to productivity standards while demonstrating exceptional time management skills; ensure punctuality for patient appointments and meetings.
• Engage in departmental initiatives aimed at improving services and achieving organizational goals while adhering to all applicable regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities and stay abreast of new rehabilitation techniques and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Ortholand Therapy Center, you will primarily work with a diverse outpatient population. This includes patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, and those requiring rehabilitation after injuries. Your role will encompass developing personalized therapy plans suited to varied age groups and health conditions, ensuring each patient's journey is met with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possess a valid physical therapy license as required by Virginia state regulations.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant clinical setting is preferred, with a demonstrated ability to implement various treatment methodologies effectively.
• Experience in an outpatient physical therapy environment would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
