Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's specific needs and goals, which may include pain management strategies, strength training, and mobility improvement.

• Implement evidence-based treatment protocols and adjust techniques as necessary based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.

• Document all patient interactions, treatment progress, and assessment results in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and insurance requirements.

• Conduct discharge planning and develop follow-up care strategies, offering ongoing support to patients even after they have completed formal therapy.

• Maintain open and professional communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to collaborate on patient care and enhance overall treatment outcomes.

• Participate in regular team meetings and continuous education sessions to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that hinder mobility and quality of life. Your expertise will be critical in designing and implementing rehabilitation programs tailored to enhance physical functionality and promote recovery. You will work closely with patients to address their specific challenges and help them regain independence through personalized care solutions.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.

• A valid state licensure for physical therapy practice in Virginia.

• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of hands-on experience in physical therapy, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.

• Experience in home health care services is highly desirable, particularly with elderly or post-operative patients.

Compensation and Benefits
