Work Environment

As a full-time physical therapist at our outpatient clinic, you will work alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and functional limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient presentations, ensuring they align with best practices and evolving healthcare standards.
• Document patient progress in detail, including initial evaluations, ongoing treatment considerations, and discharge summaries, to create a clear path of care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and address any changes in the patient's condition that may require alterations to the treatment plan.
• Participate in facility meetings to discuss case management and share insights that contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care processes.
• Stay updated with state practices and adhere to regulations governing physical therapy practices, ensuring compliance with clinical service requirements.
• Support patient discharge planning and follow-up care strategies to assist with the transition to independent management of their health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with outpatient orthopedic patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient population is diverse, comprising teenagers to seniors, all seeking effective rehabilitation to enhance their physical capabilities and quality of life. Your expertise in tailored therapeutic interventions will play a pivotal role in their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of outpatient orthopedic experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is two years of outpatient orthopedic experience, candidates with advanced skills in specific treatment techniques or specialties such as manual therapy, sports rehabilitation, or post-operative care will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is also advantageous, as our documentation relies heavily on accurate and timely data entry.

Compensation and Benefits
