Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse for a facility located in an age-friendly, Level I trauma and NICHE-designated unit. The position involves providing specialized nursing care to adult inpatients, including orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and trauma patients, with an emphasis on patient safety, pain management, and quality care. The role supports the enhancing of the patient experience through proactive rounding, bedside hand-offs, and adherence to unit protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license or state ID, all submission documentation including UHS skills checklist, prior employment form, and submission packet, along with one year of experience in medical-surgical orthopedic nursing or related field; must meet all certification and education requirements
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with surveillance and telemetry monitoring using Masimo technology; familiarity with orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and trauma care, and Level I age-friendly NICHE facility experience
• Additional Information: The nurse will care for adult inpatients on a 24-bed unit that emphasizes zero-harm and quality patient outcomes. Responsibilities include proactive patient rounding, effective bedside hand-offs, and adherence to clinical standards in a fast-paced environment.
