About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Development to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be a senior leader in the gender space, with a focus on strategic development, planning, and implementation of all fundraising operations. This role is pivotal in leading the business development team, overseeing external relationships, and steering the organization's growth in the gender equality and violence prevention sectors. The Chief of Development will be responsible for donor prospecting, stewardship, and representing the organization in various fora. A Master's degree in a related field or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent work experience is required, along with 7-10 years of experience in supervising donor or fundraising efforts, particularly with a diverse set of actors. Applicants for the Chief of Development position at the company should have a strong background in organizational leadership, high-level strategy, and a deep understanding of the nonprofit fundraising landscape. The role demands exceptional writing and narrative skills, particularly in the context of fundraising, communications, and partnerships. Experience with institutional fundraising, major gifts, and high-net-worth individuals is desirable. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fostering a collaborative environment, managing and mentoring a team, and providing guidance on professional development. A passion for gender equality, social justice, and work with men and boys, as well as an affinity for the principles of healthy masculinity, is essential.
