Engineering Manager

Advance CNC Machining – Grove City, Ohio
Salary: Up to $130,000 DOE

Advance CNC Machining is looking for an experienced  Engineering Manager who can lead our engineering team, solve problems, improve how we work, and keep projects moving forward.

We're looking for someone who is  proactive, assertive, innovative, and accountable . Someone who doesn't wait for problems to become emergencies, doesn't let unresolved issues sit on the sidelines, and isn't afraid to make a decision or have a difficult conversation when it's necessary.

What You’ll Do

As our Engineering Manager, you’ll serve as both a strategist and a mentor—guiding our engineering team to create custom deliverables that exceed expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
• Leading performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
• Optimizing engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
• Troubleshooting design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
• Owning the Engineering group’s performance indicators and budget

 

Compensation package includes:

• 401k plan with a  generous 100% employer match up to $5,200 per year
• 80 hours of paid time off (PTO) your first year, increasing annually up to 200 hours.

What You Bring

The right Engineering Manager is strong on follow-through, a problem solver and accountable .

The skills needed:

• 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering
• Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes
• Experience leading and mentoring direct reports including excellent communication and the ability to hold others accountable.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges
• Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews
• A mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience and fluency
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) is preferred.
