Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, delivering therapeutic exercises and functional activities to promote patient recovery.
• Utilize pain management modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy to facilitate healing and reduce discomfort in patients.
• Monitor patient progress and reactions to treatment, diligently recording observations to inform ongoing care adjustments.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, recovery techniques, and strategies for maintaining mobility after treatment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatments and patient interactions in accordance with clinic and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Your direct involvement in their rehabilitation journey will help foster their physical capabilities and regain their confidence in everyday activities. Qualifications

• A valid and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, ideally from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in an orthopedic outpatient or rehabilitation setting is preferred, highlighting your competence in therapeutic modalities and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role is competitive, with an annual salary in the range of $90,000 to $120,000, based on experience and performance.
