What You'll Do

• Provide expert patient care in a 6-bed Pediatric ICU with occasional NICU coverage
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as MS, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post-op spinal surgeries, and neuro cases
• Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, heparin, sedatives, and pain medications
• Perform PIV, CVL insertions, telemetry, wound care, drains, and wound vacs
• Collect peripheral blood draws and manage central lines
• Collaborate with RT, hospitalist, intensivist, and charge nurse
• Adapt to unit needs, including potential float to adult ICU or stepdown units

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• At least 2 years PICU experience
• Confidence with titrating medications and peripheral blood draws

• Experience with cross-training and floating to adult ICU or Med/Tele
• NRP certification
• Strong IV and telemetry skills
