Director of Food and Beverage

A long-standing, casual  Los Angeles restaurant icon is preparing for its next chapter—and we’re looking for a hands-on Director of Operations to help lead the brand into significant local and national growth.

Currently operating as a single location, the company is very well capitalized and ready to scale once the foundation is in place. This includes building the systems, SOPs, standardized recipes, national purchasing programs, training materials, and operational structure needed to successfully grow the brand.

The role will also oversee a separate, well-known Los Angeles iconic concept that is relocating to a new location. This makes proven restaurant opening experience essential. You’ll help lead the transition, establish systems and SOPs, develop training, and ensure the operation is ready to hit the ground running.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a forward-thinking operator who is equally comfortable developing strategy, working on the floor, teaching a tenured team, and digging into the numbers. A strong FOH background is a must, while kitchen/food-side experience is a major plus. Experience with casual, burger, or sandwich concepts is highly valued.

• Help prepare both concepts for growth and future multi-unit expansion.

• Lead the relocation and opening of the second Los Angeles concept.

• Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, standardized recipes, and operational systems.

• Build the infrastructure needed to successfully scale the brand locally and nationally.

• Work closely with ownership and department leaders to streamline operations, improve productivity, and maximize profitability.

• Lead and develop a very tenured team while introducing new procedures and standards.

• Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Oversee P&L performance, cost controls, forecasting, and financial planning.

• Forecast sales, costs, and operational needs associated with expansion, including the potential development of a commissary.

• Maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Provide hands-on leadership while building a strong culture of accountability, hospitality, and continuous improvement.

• Proven senior-level restaurant operations leadership experience.

• Successful restaurant opening experience is a MUST.

• Strong FOH leadership background; casual restaurant experience is essential.

• Experience developing and implementing SOPs, training programs, and operational systems.

• Experience helping a restaurant or hospitality company scale and grow.

• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L and cost-management experience.

• Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and lead from the floor.

• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

• Collaborative approach with ownership and other departments.

• Kitchen/food operations experience is a major plus.

• Burger, sandwich, or similar high-volume casual concept experience is a huge plus.
