Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Entrance Screening in Allentown, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a smooth flow of people and deliveries. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will put people first, work as a team, and act with integrity in all security-related responsibilities.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing steps, and security-related policies at the location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification, maintain access logs, and report irregular activity or unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
- Support screening of vendors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the location, help to deter policy violations, and document observations, incidents, and daily activity in required reports.
Minimum Requirements:
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
