Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner Or Physician AssistantFranciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to meet the growing demand for Cardiology care at Indiana Heart Physicians in Indianapolis, IN. Indiana Heart Physicians is a growing, dynamic, private-practice hospital-owned group. Interested candidate will join a large collegial group, of equal shares, multi-specialty team of 22 cardiologists, 2 cardiac hospitalists, and 24 advanced practice providers.Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) has been delivering leading cardiovascular care since 1978, offering comprehensive services through board-certified cardiologists across multidisciplinary clinics, including cardio-oncology, heart failure, A-Fib, cardio-genetics, and structural heart. As part of the Franciscan Health Heart Center—ranked by HealthGrades as #1 in Indiana for cardiology (2024–2026), named one of HealthGrades' America's 100 Best for Cardiac Care (2026), and recognized by CareChex as #1 in the market for cardiac care (2026)—IHP delivers nationally recognized, patient-centered cardiovascular excellence.Ideal candidate will be an experienced Cardiovascular Advanced Practice Provider, who will operate in an office/hospital setting and be responsible for caring for patients age 18 years and older who have cardiovascular conditions. The primary focus of the Advanced Practice Provider is seeing patients for regular follow-up visits in the ambulatory setting, as well as seeing patients in the acute setting. Candidate will also have desire to develop strong ties with patients and the community in which they serve.Position qualifications include:Physician Assistant:Current State of Indiana Physician Assistant Licensure required.Current Certification from National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or other agency recognized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) required.Degree from an ARC-PA (or predecessor) accredited PA Program requiredBLS and ACLS certifications required.Advanced Practice Nurse:Current State of Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) / Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Licensure required.Current Nurse Practitioner Certification from a national certifying organization Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner educational program.BLS and ACLS certifications required.What you can expect:Schedule: Four 10-hour weekday shifts (no weekends – no holidays)Average outpatient volume: 16 – 18 patients per dayAverage inpatient volume: 16 – 20 patients per dayNo weekend or holiday callMay travel to outreach sitesCommon Diagnoses:Atrial FibrillationHypertensionCoronary Artery DiseaseHeart FailureDyslipidemiaDaily Duties:Complete patient health assessmentsDiagnosis and treat individuals with current or potential cardiac needsOffer lifestyle, medical and dietary suggestionsDevelop treatment plan for patientsFranciscan Health is a non-profit health care system with primary and specialty care physician groups located throughout Indiana.
