Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine the mental health needs of clients, employing evidence-based methods tailored to individual circumstances.

• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing psychotherapeutic techniques that promote healing and foster positive coping strategies.

• Provide crisis intervention services to clients in urgent situations, ensuring immediate support and safety while developing long-term care plans.

• Engage in regular consultation with institutional staff and other mental health professionals to discuss client care strategies and enrich the quality of services provided.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including service reports and treatment records, to uphold compliance with ethical and professional standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings and training programs to share insights, collaborate on program development, and enhance clinical services.

• Contribute to our Quality Improvement program by maintaining accountability for all services rendered and participating in ongoing evaluations of therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Healing Counseling Center, you will primarily focus on serving vulnerable populations in Pomona and the surrounding areas. Clients may present with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and severe mental illness. You will employ culturally sensitive approaches to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and ensure that their unique needs are met with empathy and understanding.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health discipline.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC in California, with a thorough understanding of state regulations concerning mental health practices.

• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services, including crisis management and therapeutic interventions.

• Proven expertise in individual and group psychotherapy, diagnostic assessment, crisis intervention protocols, and mental health consultation.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues alike.

Compensation and Benefits\n
