This role provides students with hands-on experience supporting financial operations within a professional services and consulting environment. The Finance Co-op will gain exposure to project accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems while working alongside experienced finance professionals.Essential ResponsibilitiesAssist with day-to-day accounting and financial operations.Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review, payment tracking, and collections activities.Assist with project financial reporting and analysis.Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation.Reconcile financial records and investigate discrepancies.Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities.Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.Compile and analyze financial data to support management decision-making.Maintain organized financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.Collaborate with project managers and accounting staff to support project financial performance.Gain hands-on experience using Deltek Vantagepoint ERP, including project setup support, project accounting, labor reporting, timesheet management, billing processes, financial reporting, and project performance tracking.Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.RequiredCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in:FinanceAccountingBusiness AdministrationEconomicsManagement Information SystemsOr a related fieldMinimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.PreferredPrior internship, co-op, or relevant coursework in finance or accounting.Experience working with ERP systems or financial software.Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.Familiarity with project-based accounting environments.Interest in learning and utilizing Deltek Vantagepoint ERP within an engineering consulting organization.Learning OpportunitiesAs a Finance Co-op at Arora Engineers, you will:Gain practical experience in corporate finance and accounting operations.Learn the financial processes that support engineering consulting projects.Develop skills in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and project accounting.Receive direct exposure to Deltek Vision ERP, a leading project-based ERP system used within the engineering and consulting industry.Work closely with finance leadership and project teams.Build professional skills and industry knowledge in a fast-paced consulting environment.Physical RequirementsAbility to work at a computer for extended periods.Ability to occasionally attend meetings and training sessions.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds when necessary.Equal Employment OpportunityArora Engineers is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
