Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Important Travel Requirement-
This position is based in Kingston, NY, but candidates must be able to travel to the Newburgh and Poughkeepsie offices as needed throughout the week.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare practice serving multiple Hudson Valley locations. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience while ensuring the efficient operation of front desk, scheduling, and administrative functions.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing patient interaction with administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced medical environment.

Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer incoming calls and assist with appointment scheduling
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and medical records
• Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR)
• Collect co-pays and process patient payments accurately
• Prepare, organize, and maintain patient charts and documentation
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including email and fax correspondence
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare administration, or medical reception role preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience scheduling appointments and managing multiple priorities
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EHR) systems preferred
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Strong organizational and data-entry skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between office locations as needed
