Schedule: Monday–Friday (Office & Field), Saturdays as needed

Position Overview

Building Abundance develops and renovates homes with a focus on healthier indoor air, moisture control, and durable construction. The Field Operations Coordinator supports daily field operations through material pickups, deliveries, returns, site photos, and access coordination. Working under the Project Manager, this role keeps supplies and information moving so trades can stay productive. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, communicates clearly, and completes assignments accurately.

Primary Responsibilities

Team & Communication

• Provide timely updates on assigned runs, site visits, and outstanding tasks.
• Report delays, missing items, damage, and field concerns promptly to the PM.
• Submit clear site photos, receipts, and delivery records the same day.

Site Support & Standards

• Complete assigned site checks and access appointments.
• Organize materials on site in their designated locations.
• Follow BA rules for cleanliness, safe handling, security, and material protection. Before leaving, check that doors are closed and locked and materials are in the right place.
• Report water intrusion, wet materials, or unsecured areas promptly.

Trade Coordination

• Coordinate assigned trade access and material drop-offs with the PM.
• Confirm pickup readiness, delivery locations, and access before each trip.
• Flag missing materials or site access problems that could delay work.

Materials Management

• Pick up and deliver approved materials, tools, samples, and documents.
• Verify item numbers, quantities, and condition; protect materials from weather and damage.
• Complete returns and obtain receipts or credit confirmations for office follow-up.

Delivery Verification & Project Support

• Check deliveries against orders and report shortages or incorrect items.
• Support punch-list visits, inspections, and walkthrough preparation as directed.
• Close out each task with its status, delivery location, and supporting paperwork.

Continuing Education

• Learn BA’s materials, healthy-home practices, and documentation procedures.
• Complete required training on safe driving, material handling, and site rules.

Qualifications

• Construction supply, delivery, warehouse, or jobsite experience preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills preferred.
• Able to identify materials and follow written pickup and delivery instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and clear communication.
• Able to handle materials safely, using assistance or equipment when needed.
• Comfortable using smartphone photos, email, maps, and simple task trackers.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving habits, and own vehicle for reimbursed work travel.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Field Operations Coordinator gets the correct items to the correct site on time, documents deliveries and returns, and keeps the PM informed. Materials are protected, paperwork is complete, and assignments are followed through without repeated reminders. Construction direction, technical checks, and spending approvals remain with the PM and leadership.

Interview Details

The role includes performance reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days after the start date to discuss progress, expectations, and support needs.
