Image Evaluation Specialist for AI Training [Remote]

Evaluate images to help train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world assessments and clear written rationale. This remote contractor role focuses on detecting visual issues, documenting edge cases, and improving review guidelines so models learn and reason more accurately. No prior experience in AI is required, domain expertise and careful judgment are the priority.

• Review images against detailed project guidelines and quality standards.
• Detect and document visual inconsistencies, errors, and deviations from established criteria.
• Write concise, well-structured explanations that justify review decisions.
• Maintain calibration and consistency by coordinating with peers as rubrics and criteria are updated.
• Identify, flag, and describe edge cases or novel image patterns that fall outside current guidelines.
• Surface ambiguities or gaps in documentation and contribute to ongoing improvements in project materials.
• Work independently in a remote environment to produce high-quality, high-volume assessments.

Required skills

• Critical thinking and analytic judgment, especially in structured review contexts.
• Strong visual attention to detail, with an ability to spot subtle image issues.
• Clear, concise written English to compose actionable feedback and documentation.

Preferred experience

• Background in content evaluation, moderation, quality assurance, annotation, or trust and safety projects.
• Comfort using review tools or annotation platforms for digital content.
• Proactive attitude toward ambiguity, with a willingness to surface unaddressed issues collaboratively.
• Experience in disciplines that require methodical review and clear written reasoning, for example arts, design, finance, research, customer support, or education.
