AP Accountant

We are seeking an AP Accountant to support the organization's accounts payable operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, vendor communications, and financial records. This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Position Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely payment of approved invoices according to established schedules.
• Monitor outstanding payables and resolve discrepancies as needed.

• Serve as a point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and payment information.
• Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Support onboarding of new vendors and documentation management.

• Reconcile accounts payable balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare reports related to accounts payable transactions and outstanding liabilities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and financial controls.
• Support audit requests by providing documentation and transaction records.
• Assist in maintaining proper approval workflows and payment controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

• Work closely with accounting, finance, procurement, and operations teams.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist with administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned.
• Contribute to maintaining a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or finance.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working with accounting or ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Mandarin language proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in an office-based environment and collaborate effectively with team members.

Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)

• Certified Bookkeeper (CB)
• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP)
• Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)
• CPA coursework or progress toward professional accounting certification
