Key Responsibilities\n

As an LCSW at the American Counseling Center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychosocial assessments through direct interviews, observations, and the review of individual student profiles to understand the emotional, social, and environmental factors influencing their academic performance.

• Providing counseling services to students and their families, offering emotional support and strategies for adjustment during challenging times.

• Collaborating effectively with educational staff and the rehabilitation team to design and implement personalized treatment plans that address each student's psychosocial needs.

• Assisting students and families in accessing community resources, such as support groups, vocational training, or housing assistance, that may enhance the students' quality of life.

• Educating families about community resources and post-rehabilitation services available to support their ongoing social and emotional well-being.

• Participating in discharge planning, enabling smooth transitions for students back into their home environments or into further educational settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your practice will primarily focus on children and adolescents who face various challenges that may impede their academic performance and social interactions. You will work with students dealing with emotional disturbances, behavioral issues, and other social barriers that impact their education and overall development.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current LCSW license in Pennsylvania.

• At least one year of relevant social work experience, particularly in educational or rehabilitation settings.
