Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440 Work Hours: 12 hour shifts 3 - 3, with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory Pay: Starting at $24 per hour, based on experience and skills The Set-Up Operator is responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining multiple types of lettershop inserting systems, including MPS, APS, and Epic equipment. This role ensures accurate, efficient, and high-quality mail production while meeting client specifications and production deadlines What you'll be doing: Set up and operate MPS, APS, and Epic inserting systems for a variety of direct mail and transactional jobs Review and interpret job tickets, specifications, and production schedules Configure machine components including feeders, folders, inserters, cameras, and conveyors Load materials such as envelopes, inserts, and forms into equipment Perform test runs and calibrate machines to ensure proper alignment, folding, inserting, and sealing Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues such as jams, double feeds, or misreads Ensure accuracy of mail pieces, including correct matching and sequencing when applicable Verify jobs meet USPS regulations and client quality standards Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical adjustments Document production data, downtime, and quality checks Collaborate with supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures Who you are: Experience operating MPS, APS, Epic, or similar lettershop inserting equipment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read and follow detailed instructions and job specifications Basic computer skills for machine interfaces and reporting systems High attention to detail and quality control Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment Good communication and teamwork skills High school diploma or GED required Supervisory Responsibilities: None Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility Physical Demands: Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
