Job Title: Procurement Specialist Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: Contract (12 months) Industry: Manufacturing Compensation: $32.14 - $42.85 /hr. Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. - (1st shift) About the Opportunity:

• Develops complex buying strategies to purchase and arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedites as needed and serves as liaison between vendors and users.
• Resolves complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices.
• Develops project plans and purchasing systems; reviews and analyzes requisitions and supply plans for domestic and international purchases.

• Negotiates prices, terms and quality requirements; develops requests for quotes and develops new supply sources; evaluates market conditions.
• Guides value analysis to identify cost improvements, develops cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing and vendor evaluation criteria.
• To manage a work-que and secure that POs are issued in due time.
• Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers (MRPCs, requisitioners), engineering team, supplier quality teams, operation teams to ensure customer care and early involvement.
• Manage a portfolio of suppliers relationships, negotiate price increase requests, prepare RFQ packs, onboarding suppliers, run bidding processes, and conduct negotiations for medium Purchasing Volumes.
• Contribute to implementation and ensure usage of globally defined methods, processes and systems to ensure high process efficiency and process compliance (compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems).
• Support Supplier Management processes (qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure transparency and high procurement quality.
• Support and lead Procurement Business Plan activities.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in SAP.
