Job Description As a Security Officer Daytime Patrol Guard in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a public healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 07:00 PMTue07:00 AM - 07:00 PMFri03:30 PM - 11:29 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑related protocols, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns to site leadership and/or public agencies when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with location policies and government‑related requirements. Support a professional environment by offering directions, assisting with de‑escalation when appropriate, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders during routine and unusual events. Minimum Requirements Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
