Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Freight Agent for a temp-to-hire opportunity in South San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with import/export administration experience who enjoys coordinating freight activity, managing documentation, and supporting smooth transportation operations. As a Freight Agent, you will play an important role in helping shipments move accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1-2 YEARS OF AIR/OCEAN IMPORT EXPERIENCE. Key Responsibilities Coordinate import and export freight activity, including shipment tracking, documentation, and status updates. Prepare, review, and process freight paperwork, shipping documents, customs-related forms, and internal records. Communicate with carriers, customers, vendors, warehouse teams, and internal departments to support timely shipment movement. Monitor shipment timelines, identify delays or discrepancies, and help resolve transportation or documentation issues. Maintain accurate data in logistics systems and ensure files are complete, organized, and compliant. Support daily freight operations by prioritizing urgent shipments and providing responsive customer service. Compensation and Benefits Pay rate: $26.00 to $27.00 per hour. Job type: Temp-to-Hire.
