About the Role
The Company is seeking a Market Medical Director to serve as the senior clinical leader for the Tampa Bay market. The successful candidate will be responsible for clinical excellence, physician performance, and total cost of care, with a strong focus on owning outcomes for the entire market. This role demands a leader who can move clinical and financial performance in the right direction, hold physicians accountable, and partner with various teams to optimize care delivery. The Market Medical Director will also be tasked with fixing care transitions, reducing avoidable admissions, and aligning the care team around a single patient journey. The ideal candidate will have an MD/DO, be board-certified in internal or family medicine, and have a proven track record in a full-risk Medicare Advantage environment. Applicants for the Market Medical Director position at the company should have at least 5 years of clinical practice in a full-risk Medicare Advantage environment, along with 5 years of physician leadership experience. A strong background in inpatient medicine, transitions of care, and a history of improving clinical documentation and quality are essential. The role requires a leader who can balance clinical practice with executive-level responsibilities, think in systems, and is highly data-driven. The candidate should be adept at building and leading teams, with a focus on clear communication, emotional intelligence, and a passion for a performance-driven, mission-focused work environment.
