Principal Scientist - Clinical Research, Immunology Biomarker Lead

Principal Scientist position leading immunology biomarker strategy across clinical development programs. The role combines scientific expertise with cross-functional leadership to design and execute biomarker strategies that inform clinical decisions and support precision medicine approaches in immunology.

Responsibilities

• Lead integrated biomarker strategies across discovery and clinical programs, connecting drug mechanism to clinical endpoints
• Serve as biomarker strategy lead for cross-functional program teams and represent them in governance forums
• Direct biomarker sub-teams and working groups spanning clinical, discovery, translational, regulatory, and data sciences
• Champion analysis plans and provide scientific interpretation of complex datasets for clinical conclusions
• Support external engagement including publications, presentations, and key opinion leader interactions

Requirements

• PhD or MD in Immunology, Biology, or related STEM field with 7+ years immunology experience
• Deep expertise in immune-mediated diseases, particularly rheumatology, GI/mucosal inflammation, or dermatology
• Proven track record translating biomarker strategies into clinical development decisions
• Demonstrated ability to lead highly matrixed teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Working knowledge of biostatistics, bioinformatics, and advanced data analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
• Experience advancing precision medicine and personalized medicine strategies
